Dealing with grief during pregnancy

Hi everyone,

Earlier today our eldest cousin brother passed away from cancer. When I found out I instantly felt really sad and began to cry and cried for some time before I finally calmed down. I began to worry about how this might affect the baby. Is it bad to grieve so much while pregnant? Could it hurt our baby?

The grief itself won't hurt the baby. As long as you continue to look after yourself properly - eating, sleeping etc - the baby will be fine.

It I hard, my Dad died suddenly when I was expecting my second.

Sorry for your loss Flowers

Your baby will be fine. My dad collapsed and died before my eyes very traumatically when I was 12 weeks pregnant and I went on to have a completely normal pregnancy.
I’m sorry for your loss x
