Bleeding after transvaginal ultrasound (7 weeks) cervical erosion??

Hi ladies,

Just looking for some reassurance. I've had brown discharge for about a week and a half. Went for a TV last week when I thought I was 6w4d and they couldn't see a heartbeat so went again today and they saw a heartbeat but dated me at 6w5d (thought I'd be 7w4d). But felt relieved as there was a heartbeat! They couldn't see any reason for bleeding on the US.

However since the US this morning I've had 2 relatively heavy red and dark brown bleeds with small clots but only when I go to the bathroom. Nothing on panty liner. Last week I had a lighter red bleed after sex.

How do they diagnose cervical erosion? Has anyone had a similar experience with bleeding after a transvaginal ultrasound and did they find a reason for it?

Trying not to worry as I know some women do bleed more but seeing blood is terrifying! x

I'm currently 17 weeks pregnant and have had spotting (pink/brown mucus) for the past 2 days. I've had scans and baby is fine and I've had no diagnosis. You have to remember everything down there currently is sensitive as hell because you're pregnant, your cervix and womb is making all kinds of a adjustments so is so much more likely to have the odd bleed!

Unless you're gushing/in pain I wouldn't worry (as easy as that is to say). Keep an eye on it and see how it goes, if it doesn't ease ask for them to do an examination with a speculum and they can take a look at your cervix 😊 xx

I had the same at 7 weeks and at 16 weeks. Both after trans vaginal ultrasounds. My twins are now 6 weeks old.

I had the same after a scan at that stage. It took a week to stop and total rest in the end! Now 28 weeks and all fine.

Thanks so much ladies, that has helped calm my nerves! @PrayingandHoping @Chocolatehat did you guys have another scan after the bleeding to check or just wait? Since I've had 2 already I don't really want to have another so soon but when I phoned the EPU they said I should come back in 2 weeks for another scan.

I had a 7 week scan (compulsory for ivf), then 9 week when I bled and then one at 11 weeks (bevuSe we were going away with family and wanted to tell them! Otherwise would have waited until the 12 week nhs scan)

All my early scans were private with my ivf clinic
