Morning sickness has hit me before I even got a positive test and now being sick at night as well as all day and the nausea is just totally draining me. I cant sleep I cant eat. Any ideas for help. I'm really struggling and my doctor said eat biscuits and lots of sugar. That's like the worst advise! I'm off work this week on annual leave but no idea how I'm gonna manage going back to work. I just feel so ill. First baby and struggling.

Go back to your doctor, ask for someone else if they are not listening to you and get them to talk to you about meds to manage it. Have you seen a midwife yet?
It’s really hard with the exhaustion and all and some meds can help you through the worst.
They also need to check you for dehydration if you’re being sick so much, sounds like HG.

I'm seeing the midwife on Saturday and will try to get an emergency appointment to get some meds before then. I was hoping for a nice week off but spent it all in bed so far. 🙁 didnt realise how much early pregnancy takes it out of you.

Try see a different doctor, if you can’t keep much down, biscuits aren’t going to help. Nor is ginger.

I’ve found in my experience younger doctors better at treating pregnancy sickness/HG. Older ones are still terrified by the mistakes of the past.

There is a scale of anti-sickness meds you can take. Don’t not be fobbed off as it being just pregnancy or a ‘bit of nausea’. I’m taking the strongest anti-sickness and now ‘just’ left with nausea. It’s debilitating. I’ve not left the house in weeks bar going to the doc or hospital. I feel so poorly I cry on and off all day.

Hopefully there is something to help you!

I had pretty bad all day sickness, just try and keep anything savoury nearby. I ate crisps constantly 😂😂 I also drank alot of tea (decaffeinated) which I find helped.

Agree with PP. Call gp tomorrow to see someone different. Sounds like you may need meds.

Hi all, I managed to get some medication but it's not really helped only made me sleep loads and feel dizzy. When I'm not sleeping I'm just feeling and being sick. I'm gonna try another doctor tomorrow as I feel like I'm getting no where. Is this normal? I have no idea what to expect. Feel like I'm gonna have to get signed off work at this rate.
