Ovaries on ultrasound

I am 32 weeks pregnant tomorrow.. I have a second growth scan on Thursday. Before I got pregnant I was diagnosed with pcos... every 2 months I would get ovulation pain in my right ovary and I've had this pain on and off throughout my pregnancy. It always seems to go when I'm seeing the midwife so I forget to mention it. Just wondering if the ultrasound on Thursday would still be able to see my ovaries to see if there is cysts?? Or would the baby/womb etc be covering them at this late stage?

Mostly ovaries are very very difficult to detect after the first trimester. The looked at my 20 week scan (as they'd still been enlarged at my 12 week scan because of ivf and ovarian hyperstimulation), but we're unable to see them. You can ask, but I wouldn't expect to be able to see them.

@physicskate I had a feeling that would be the case! Can they see them if they do a vaginal ultrasound do you know?

I don't know, but I'd suspect it's the same case. I'd love to know (because I'm a massive nerd), so please update!
