Hi all..first post on hereSmile I'm currently 33w5days and have a transvaginal US tomorrow as at my 20 week scan they told me I had a succenturiate lobe separate to my main placenta which is on the posterior wall, the extra lobe wasnt covering the cervix at the time but tomorrows scan is to see if a vessel has connected them across the cervix meaning I'll need a csection at 38 weeks!! I'm really scared as just want to have a vaginal birth....has anyone else experienced this?? Also I'm measuring a week ahead of what I actually am when I saw MW last week and I'm worried baby will be huge..is this normal? It's my first pregnancy hence so many questions!! Thanks guys xxxx

Hey, I don’t have any experience of this, but just wanted to say I had an emcs after being desperate to have a vaginal birth and it was nowhere near as bad as I expected. The recovery time was longer than a straightforward vaginal birth, but I’ve had less long term issues than some friends who had to have forceps, stitches etc after vaginal births.

So just trying to say really that if you do end up having a c-section it’ll be fine :) And you won’t really care how you gave birth in the long term. Good luck!

Thanks constance...I know that most important is baby and that they arrive happy and healthy by whatever method. Smile I think I need to stop watching you tube videos too as they scared the hell out of me!! Glad all went ok for you though! Thanks xx
