Pregnancy and Vertigo

Has anyone else had vertigo whilst pregnant? I'm 46 and first time baby at 14wks and 3 weeks ago I had a head cold which then caused vertigo. I've never had it before and its horrendous, it happens always about 6am and I wake up and then I'm to scared of an episode to go back to sleep. Dr can't give me meds and I'm feeling quite low about it now. I want to enjoy being pregnant but I also want my head back. Anyone any advice? Feeling desperate now.

I’ve had meneiries a form of vertigo for around 20 years. You can have something for it. If I didn’t I couldn’t function. I’m on cyclizine now, before I was pregnant stemitil. You can have either when pregnant.

Ok thanks I'll mention that at the Drs the next time I visit.

If your doctor won’t doing anything, ask to see someone else. The younger doctors are better for this sort of thing, sometimes the older ones are bit behind with the times.
