I can't wait to buy myself some gorgeous underwear, something definitely not made out of cotton or with clasps to allow access to boobs unless it's for play () I've been browsing underwear catalogues like a pervy old man!!! It'll be my Christmas treat to myself and I WILL look damn good (even if I haven't lost all the weight)

What are you going to treat yourself to (nothing for the baby or house mind, it's got to be something just for you, even if it's just a fantasy and you can't really afford it - we can dream can't we?)

I'm looking forward to sleeping on my front again and pate on toast. I never ate it that much before anyway, but not being allowed something just makes you want it so much more.

jemima78 · 04/08/2007 22:01

For those missing/avoiding peanut butter (I've tried to but given in a few times, as a veggie I reckon I crave the protein!), try almond nut butter - not as sweet as cashew nut butter, you can get it from most health food shops...yum

jemima78 · 04/08/2007 22:04

oh, and another top tip..missing sleeping on your front? If you can, get yourselves down to the beach and dig a boobs n' bump hole in the sand - it's lovely as cooling as well!

macdoodle · 04/08/2007 22:27

oh well I've been eating loads soft eggs (fried and boiled) figure the chance of salmonella nowadays is pretty bloody low - had a few bits soft cheese (ditto above) would love a cold beer/glass white wine, some liver pate and a really massive chunk of camberzola blue, and then loads of sushi/sashimi.....

macdoodle · 04/08/2007 22:27

and I detest peanut butter at the best of times yuk!

vole3 · 05/08/2007 07:10

Did think about taking a flask of frozen daiquiri into the delivery suite, but forgot.
Now have a fridge stocked with cambazola and pate.
Just have to get to it before DH......

GoodGollyMissMolly · 05/08/2007 07:15

Liver and mashed potato with lovely, yummy thick onion gravy, all wonderfully homemade by my lovely Mum Oh and a bottle of chilled champagne, I have been craving it all the way through my pregnancy. Only 14 weeks and one day to go

Katy44 · 05/08/2007 07:30

As soon as I've finished bf I'm going to have a huge bag of salted peanuts (well maybe not all of them as the salt would probably make my lips stick together )
(DH has asthma so not worth the risk)
Hopefully won't be for a couple of years yet can I last that long?

Katy44 · 05/08/2007 07:32

oooh that first glass of champagne tasted good
(as did the second )

theressomethingaboutmarie · 05/08/2007 18:44

Sleeping on my front, some soft/blue cheese and sexy pants . I was always a stickler for matching undies prior to getting pregnant (and for as long as I could in the early stages of my pregnancy - am now 31 weeks) and am gutted to be wearing yucky bras and sad pants

MrsBadger · 05/08/2007 19:14

champagne and pate

I am also allowed to go out and buy the new Harry Potter on my due date (21st Aug) and not before as a consolation for going overdue...

BHANNAE · 05/08/2007 19:32

I am looking forward to not wanting to chew on a jumbo car sponge every 2mins or wanting to inhale purell gel
Gin with a teeny bit of tonic lol and some new clothes as I have lost about 2stone this pregnancy(probs something to do with the lack of nutritional value of said sponges)

PregnantGrrrl · 06/08/2007 08:39

Gin, pate and more gin.

Castanet · 06/08/2007 08:48

2 dozen oysters with a nice chilled rose' followed by steak tartar and a large glass of merlot, salmon sashimi, lots and lots of champers of course, then a nice runny cheese (haven't decided which one yet )and lovely asparagus with poached duck eggs and hollandaise, smoked salmon or home made gravlax, THEN, NY steak, charred outside, rare inside with a good burgundy..... will burst my cs stitches I'm afraid.
Oh well, it's nice to dream....

mixedmama · 06/08/2007 10:58

I am going to have a glass of bubbly at a spa and really treat myself.... at a really swanky place. Actually am thinking of doing it when the sale of me house goes through as the afore mentioned swanky spa has a pregnant mama package.

aligard · 06/08/2007 12:02

The first 'forbidden' treat I had after DD was born was champagne. But the one I really craved was rare(ish) steak. Mmmmm.

Bettymamma · 06/08/2007 12:03

champagne
pimms (in december?!)
calfs liver
mum's homemade pate
the gooeist camembert I can get my hands on
and a big bowl of crunchy nut cornflakes

ps - couldn't eat anything spicy or with onions or tomatoes when BF last time or would get howling banshee baby. Oh joy .

Good luck everyone

BabyMadandBIGbump · 06/08/2007 12:13

A meal, liver and onions gravy with creamy mashed potato, with a glass or 2 of my fav rose wine and then a night lying on my tummy

wotsits · 06/08/2007 12:20

Pate

MrsBadger · 06/08/2007 12:33

BrownSuga · 06/08/2007 13:33

Hillbilly · 06/08/2007 13:41

Funny, I have been talking about this all weekend!

Definitely sushi or oysters. Washed down with a large glass or 2 of chilled white wine....

Before DD was born I had the fridge stocked with all the goodies I had been avoiding. Intend to do the same this time too.

Only 10 wks to go......

Gingerbear · 06/08/2007 13:43

Steam room and sauna.
It was bliss.
