We are looking to book an early pregnancy scan just for some reassurance. Currently 8 weeks - does anyone in the Bolton/Wigan area have an recommendations of places that they have used? I've found a variety with a wide range of prices but want to make sure we are booking somewhere that provides a good service. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!

We had a reassurance scan (12weeks; but first pregnancy after a mmc so very very anxious) at Show Your Bump in Wigan. Was really good and the lady who did the scan took a lot of time to show us all parts of our twins. I was so nervous the night before after a bad experience with having a private scan and finding the baby had no heartbeat with my last pregnancy but I was made to feel super relaxed. Hope that helps.

Bolton-wise we went with ultrasound direct or 'babybond for a 18w and 26w scan, I'd advise waiting till later on to go and you can see more the longer you leave it, but overall they were really good and we were v happy afterwards

Ultrasound Direct / Baby Bond is what I’d recommend as they are trusted by Mothercare to do their scans too. They can do early assurance scans, like all private places, from 6 weeks. By 8 weeks unless your dates are out you should definitely be seeing (if not hearing) a heartbeat.

Show your bump wigan, recommend them every time, had both out gender scan for DD and DS there as well as bonding scans, they are really cheap compared to some places x
