7 week scan

2 weeks today until my 7 week scan! I'm so excited and nervous all at the same time. I wish it was sooner to put my mind at rest! What should I expect from the 7 wk scan?

You'll prob see a blob (baby) and hopefully a heartbeat. Most likely will be transvaginal but they might also be able to see baby abdominally

No idea but good luck! I waited until 13 weeks to get a scan , by that point I could see he looked like his dad ( and I was right ... he is the image ... his bone structure was clear and I knew I had a boy , though had to wait until 22 weeks to confirm ) do you live in the uk? Feeling jealous of your 7 week scan! Pregnancy didn’t feel real until I saw him! I was half convinced I was terminally ill Due to how Sick and tired I felt 😂😂 that and most likely the hormones 🥳🤞🤞

I had one yesterday at 7+1 at the EPAC. They tried a tummy scan but couldn’t see clear enough so they let me go and pee and then I had an internal scan (it’s really not that bad).

I saw a blob with a flickering heartbeat. They also pointed out the yolk sac and amniotic sac. Measured 9.1mm. It really didn’t look anything like a baby yet ... but still a very magical moment xx

I had one privately at 6+6. They picked it up straight away abdominally, we just saw a tiny bean beating like mad. Really wasn't anything much to see but still brilliant and so reassuring. Good luck and enjoy!
