Does anyone else find the bit after the 12 weeks scan and before you really start showing (seems to be weeks in my case) pretty stressful?

Of course its noothing like as bad as the 8 weeks between BFP and 12 week scan. and I spek as someone who has had 2 miscarriages in the last year. But this time (am 14 weeks ) as with my DS now 2.1, I find this bit really weird. Have 100% stopped feeling sick. am perhaps fractionally tireder than usual but frankly it is marginal. My stomach is perhaps a little rounder than usual but that't it.

IS there really a baby in there??

I had my second scan at 18 weeks, and the baby started kicing shortly afterwards, but I've been very impatient to start really showing.

Now, at 26 weeks, I'm starting to look pregnant to random people. Until a couple of weeks ago, though, I was just thickening all over, which was annoying. I so wanted to look pregnant.

Not really the same, I guess. I am very reassured by all the kicking.

I found it stressful partly because I had an operation in the middle of it, but mainly because the symptoms went and I had no real sign of being pregnant - I was only able to feel anything in my belly (i.e. feel my uterus) four, as well weeks ago - now at 19 weeks my tummy has grown massively in the last week and I'm really starting to look pregnant as well as feel plenty of kicks.

It will come, don't worry!

ahh, please dont be stressed! try and enjoy your pregnancy. I loved my 2nd trimester mainly because i was able to tell people but also because i had heaps of energy. At 32 weeks - energy levels arent bad but the extra weight means I cannot do as much and get tired a lot easier. Do try and enjoy the not feeling sick with the extra energy before the third trimester aches start!

I do know what you mean about the "Is it real?" thing, VV. As long as I stick to a rigid diet my sickness has stopped, and no bump 2 c either (13 wks along).

BUT

Honestly, I'm GLAD I don't have any of the awful symptoms yet. No heartburn, no choosing from a limited wardrobe of clothes I'm sick to death of and none of which flatter me, no leg cramps, no swelling, no bizarre questions from strangers, no foetal hiccups to drive me nuts at midnight.... sorry... I think this is bliss!!!
