5 weeks pregnant

I'm 5+4 weeks pregnant. How should my tummy be feeling now? Because I don't really feel anything and it's getting me a bit worried. Like I just feel completely normal. I have sore boobs etc but with regards to my stomach I'm just not feeling anything. Is this normal being so early on in pregnancy?

Congratulations!

What were you expecting to feel? You won't feel movement until probably 22-24 weeks; and not everyone eats nauseous.

Feels nauseous!!

Perfectly normal - you won’t ‘feel’ anything for a long old time. In fact pregnancy is very surreal for ages..

I have Hyperemesis and one of things I find the toughest is I just feel incredibly poorly but it almost feels like for no reason. Even though logically I know there is a reason.

You’ll probably start getting a bit of a belly around 14-16 weeks & you start feeling baby towards 20 weeks!

Pregnancy sickness usually kicks in after 6 weeks, so it might be on its way! And you’ll be cursing saying you feel normal ha! Or you might be one of the lucky ones Smile

I was saying around a week ago I was worried that at 5 weeks I felt completely normal. 6+2 and the sickness kicked in and now im constantly exhausted, nauseous, struggling to even want to drink. Enjoy not feeling ill while you can 😂

I didn't feel much at this point, started around week 7 for me and I felt bloody awful

Falafel19 · 10/08/2019 19:56

There's nothing to feel at 5 weeks it's absolutely tiny. You'll probably start feeling nauseous in 1-3 weeks, so enjoy eating and the peace of having a still stomach etc now. Your uterus moves above your pelvis after 12 weeks but even that is difficult to feel if prodding, depending on your shape and if you know what you're looking for! Movement might not happen until 21/22 weeks.

Congratulations!
With #1 I felt nothing at all at 5 weeks. With #2 I was nauseus as hell. But remember at 5 weeks nothing is really happening around your tummy area - it's growing very low in your pelvis. Your uterus doesn't grow higher than your hips for a few weeks yet.

EdWinchester · 10/08/2019 20:01

What are you expecting?

My tummy area stayed the same until about 20 weeks when I got a small bump. I was convinced in early pregnancy that my 12 week scan
would show nothing as I felt no different. The only reason I had for believing I was pregnant was the lack of periods and one positive test!

Shik20 · 10/08/2019 20:06

Thanks everyone.

Tbh I have no idea what I was expecting! It's my first and every single thing I'm panicking about! I don't think I will believe it's real until my scan... 😂

I’m 5 weeks and i feel sick all the time! Certain smells make me feel sick. I’ve already gone off some foods and I crave curry sauce like you wouldn’t believe 😂 so your lucky! I’m very bloated too!
