I can’t wait to feel movement!

I’m 18 weeks with my 3rd child and I can’t wait to feel movement. People keep saying oooooo you should have felt something by now on your third! I had a private scan couple weeks ago and the placenta is at the back so it’s not like that’s in the way. Maybe I need to stop thinking about it and waiting for it to happen! Xx

🙄 people need to mind their own business and realise everyone's body is different. It will come, the first flutter is so exciting ☺️ x

@FairyDust92 I know. I don’t think people realise when they make these comments that all it does is make me worry more. I’m already a huge worrier xx

@Starlight84 exactly! You know it might have already happened but if you've been busy you haven't realised maybe xx

Me too! First baby though and I'm 17 weeks.
I'm so excited to just feel something but im not sure what im really looking out for or where!

It's such an exciting time, everyone is different. I hate it when I get the "you should" "have you not, yet?" Opinions. I know it's my first and I don't know what to expect but I still dont want people undermining me Hmm

I'm 19+3 and have only just started to feel actual pokes and pushes, rather than what I thought was bloating just a week before! It's mainly at night, when I first get into bed and lie on my left side. It's very sporadic - maybe you are getting movement but you're asleep at the time, or focused on something else?? Honestly it went so quickly from being a gassy feeling to obvious baby movement - give it a week or two, it won't be long now :) x

I'm 18 weeks and keep wondering what it will feel like? Everyone I work with must ask me daily if I've felt any flutterings! I've not started worrying though...... Yet!

I'm 23 weeks with my third and have started feeling proper movements over the last three weeks. My first two I felt at 17 weeks so I was panicking a bit but I have an anterior placenta this time.

You should have long to wait, it does make it all feel real!

mistermagpie · 09/08/2019 08:50

None of my three have ever felt like fluttering by the way!

secretlyhermione · 09/08/2019 13:21

First time mum to be here and also felt my first movements just after 20 weeks. I had an anterior placenta at the 12 week scan which by week 20 had already turned posterior. My friend had an anterior placenta the whole time and didn't feel much movement throughout the pregnancy and baby is happy and healthy so no need to worry there! People have lots of opinions. We are not finding out the sex and for some reason complete strangers think it's completely ok to point at my stomach and declare the sex it will be! I actually find it quite funny, people lose all sorts of decorum and etiquette around pregnant women

Felt absolutely nothing until 19 weeks, had two days of tiny little taps then full blown kicks I could feel and see from the outside. So in the space of three days nothing to partner being able to feel him moving! I was worrying like crazy the entire time leading up to that as you always see women online feeling movement ridiculously early when the stats say that anything up to 24 weeks is normal.

Starlight84 · 09/08/2019 13:42

I think I’m feeling little ‘pops’! It’s weird! Xx
