No that’s not low, what was is 48 hours later?

MyDcAreMarvel · 07/08/2019 22:49

I wouldn't know @MyDcAreMarvel. My GP let me Do the test once...i can't find out whether it was doubling :(

That’s strange hgc doesn’t mean much in isolation as the ranges are so varied. What matters is that it doubles in 48 hours.
Why did you have the blood test?

margav · 07/08/2019 23:31

I asked the GP for general check up and HCG as i had two miscarriages last year.... He didn't suggested to do another one. They are doing just the bare minimum

Sorry for your losses , are you taking aspirin unless you can’t for a medical reason I would advise taking 75mg a day.
I know it’s hard not to worry I am pregnant after a miscarriage last summer but your hcg levels are within the normal range.
Can you get a reassurance scan from EPU booked for 7/8 weeks?

Hi there ,

Like others have said , you need to be doing the test every 48 hours or at least get one more test done and see if it's been doubling since the last day you had one done . It's so frustrating GPs seem to leave you out in the cold even when you've had previous miscarriages . Push your GP to give you another one

Its the doubling that counts but that is low for 5 weeks - a heartbeat is generally found around 6 weeks and you need hcg over 17000 for that and so you wouldn't reach this milestone with your current level x

Hi sorry to post here I’m struggling to get a response on my own post. I took a test last Thursday 01/08 which was positive but not dark. I continued taking tests for a few days and they stayed faint not getting any darker. (All using Morrison’s test which seem to have good reviews) I left it a couple days and used 2 cheap eBay tests Tuesday with my FMU which most came out negative so I accepted it was most likely a chemical pregnancy. I repeated a eBay test this morning Thursday 08/08, one week following first positive test which was again positive but still not dark. My period was due 03/08 so 5 days ago. Any advice or similar experiences? I am so confused and anxious, I don’t want to go to the doctors as I know there isn’t much they will do and at the stage I am just waiting to bleed 😩 I haven’t had any cramps etc.

That’s incorrect it’s 10,800 to see a heartbeat can be less. The op hcg levels are well within the normal range.

Hi hcg differs for different women and its the doubling that counts. I don't think that's particularly low for five weeks. At 4 1/2 weeks I was 1400, for example. And your dates could be slightly out. You could do a digital which gives you weeks indicator. At 3 weeks plus it measures hcg as 7000. So y if your doctor won't do hcg test in about 6 days

Or six days after your blood test, so perhaps soon?
