Severe morning sickness?

I’m around 6-7 weeks pregnant currently (if I’m correct), and absolutely miserable. I can’t keep food down, I can keep water down but not food. I’m throwing up about 5-8 times a day around and it’s getting worse every day. I’m really worried about being dehydrated and under-eating but I’m not sure if I can even go to the doctors to do anything about it - I’m getting an abortion soon (I have a consultation on Friday but unsure when the actual thing is, I assume not long after?), so I feel like it would be a waste of time if it will stop happening in a short amount of time. I’m however miserable, aside from dealing with emotions surrounding abortion, I am feeling poorly and very sick.
Do you think it’s worth going to the doctors over it or should I just suck it up and wait until I get the abortion?

'Morning sickness' is horrible - poor you!

You can certainly try the GP for meds, they did help me.

Other things - try and eat little and often -what ever you fancy. Many people swear by a dry biscuit next to the bed so that they can eat that even before getting up. The hungrier you are, the sicker you feel.

Try drinking ice cold water or flat coke. Ice lollies and/or ice chips work for some.

Try and get plenty of rest - I was always worse when tired.

I will mention it - some people find ginger helps. 18 years on, I still can't face anything ginger, and it didn't help me at all.

Good luck!
