What were your first signs that you were expecting twins?

I already have one ds, only 5 wks pg with second, but panicking what if it's twins!

Just wondered those with twins (or more) what were your first indications that there was more than one in there?

Ah yes, I had this recently. Why are you worried?

What if it's triplets then?

very very very very sick and dizzy. scanned at 8 weeks and found out then

there was a woman who lived in my mum's street who had quads. naturally. this was about 35 years ago. so ... it could be quads? .

Blimey, don't even mention triplets/quads, I won't sleep tonight now!

My Mum started me off worrying because I conceived straight after coming off the pill and apparently you're more likely to release more than one egg?

We've struggled quite a lot with our ds, he's 2+half and he's always been a handful, very energetic and into everything etc, plus I get very tired easily. But my husband wanted another baby and I'm 35 so I thought it's now or never really. I absolutely don't resent being pregnant, I will be very excited about it when I let myself. But I just don't know how people manage with more than one kid. It drives me crazy being at home all day, and I only have to do that 2 days a week!

Anyway sorry for the waffle but planning one more baby was a big deal, think I'd go loopy if I found out it was twins!

Haven't been sick or anything yet though, I didn't get symptoms until I was 6 weeks with my first pgncy so bracing myself this weekend!

First indication - the sonographer telling me at 12wks!!!

Seriously - there are twins in the family so investigated the chances. The family twins were all 'wrong' for me to be pg with twins. I expacted to go to scan and be able to say "told you so"

I had no enhanced MS (probably less than with my DD3 who was a singleton actually). I was prob a bit more tired - but I don't think it was that different to my singleton though.

Well we were just told on monday and the same goes here ,my first sign was the sonographer saying well theres 2!!! and that was at 13 wks !!,i had no imcreased sickness,tiredness nothing,there are no twins in my family or dp and i already have 3 kids !!!!! So all i can say is im glad i was lying down at the time.
