Sickness easing at 7 weeks? Saw heartbeat on Friday still nervous after previous miscarriage

Hi lovelies,

I’m here again worrying 😫

I had super bad cramping at 6+1. Due to a previous early miscarriage a few months back they scanned me as I was so anxious and saw a little bean of 2mm and a heart beat!

Tomorrow is 7 weeks, my boobs still hurt but my sickness has eased off a lot. Now I’m worrying I’m having a MMC.

Please tell me I’m just worrying for no reason? 💕

Oh no that doesn't sound good at all. If anything, if you've already experienced nausea, it should only be intensifying. Similar happened to my colleague and it was indeed a miscarriage. It may be worth a trip to see the GP. Really hope it all works out for you xxx

Not worth seeing the GP in my experience, they won't do anything at this early stage.

If you have the means, you could arrange a private scan for peace of mind. Fwiw I found my nausea level varied from day to day, so it may not mean anything.

Worried me now :( I only saw the heartbeat on Friday! I still feel a little sick xxxx

Try not to worry - nausea is very individual I think. Just because the pp found her nausea increased each day, doesn't mean you will. I found the nausea had a 3 day cycle - 1 horrendous day, followed by 2 good days. I imagine it's different for everyone.

Probably the best thing to do is relax and wait it out until the 12 week scan, but I've had a mmc and I know would have been basically impossible for me.

I've always arranged a private 7 or 8 week scan - a place near us does them for £40, so not terribly expensive. My miscarried pregnancy stopped growing at 6 weeks, 7 or 8 weeks is when I start to feel a bit more confident having seen a heartbeat, but I know some people will disagree and say the reassurance doesn't last. For me it did though.

Really try not to worry - I think some of the responses you've had are unnecessarily scary.

My symptoms varied massively day-to-day, and I could go from feeling totally fine to being floored by nausea and exhaustion overnight.

Now 18 weeks and all is going well.

🤞for you!

I'm 8 weeks tomorrow and for the last week my nausea has decreased. I had a scan yesterday and saw the heartbeat - everything is fine. I booked a private scan because I got so worried, so I completely understand where you're coming from. Hope you're ok 💛

I really don’t think @toadabode‘s post is very helpful to the OP who is already worried

OP, FWIW I went to the doctor about this exact thing and he said it’s just the hormones fluctuating and has no bearing on how successful the pregnancy

See your doctor in case you’re worried though, hope it works out for you Flowers

OH (other half) no that doesn't sound good at all. If anything, if you've already experienced nausea, it should only be intensifying

Grossly inaccurate and unhelpful. Symptoms vary and can be on and off.

Thanks all for the positive replies it means so much. It’s just so hard freaking out at every little thing. I’m constantly pressing my boobs to make sure they are still as sore Blush there’s only one place around here that does an early scan and it’s £100 which I really don’t have so looks like il be waiting til the 12 week mark. Your replies mean a lot and make me feel better that hormones can fluctuate, felt sicker this afternoon after eating then it eased off. It’s not gone but not as prominent as it was say a week ago - I am wearing sea bands though!

@toadabode your comment is not helpful in the slightest if anything made OP more worried.
Noone can comment unfortunately as everyone is different however, I had very very mild nausea on and off all the time which has completely disappeared now.. I am 13 weeks and if it wasnt for seeing baby last week at 12 week scan I would be wondering if I was actually pregnant

Genuinely hope everything is ok but try not worry to much, symptoms do fluctuate
