Dating Scan

Hi Guys,

I'm 9weeks + 4days with our first child. I unfortunately had a MC in December. My midwife has referred me for my dating scan. We have opted out of the tests as we will love our child no matter what. Due to us not having the tests she advised I have right up to my next appointment to book the scan which is mid September.

I'm eager to have the scan just to get to see our little one but do you think the scan will be better the later we can book and go to get a clearer image?

I have seen peoples scan photos at 9/10 weeks and not a while lot can be seen, I would leave it until about 12 weeks as there seems to be alot more to be seen by then! My 12 week scan is at 13+5 so I am expecting to see LOADS by then!! lol

I would definitely do a scan around the 12 weeks mark. So much better and more to see. I had a scan at 9 weeks and baby was just like a jelly bean and my 12 week scan I was 13 weeks and could make out so much more. Exciting times - congratulations

I had a scan at 10 weeks an saw baby it was amazing really helped with my worryin xx

I had my dating scan last week and was 11+1, baby was to small to do the tests so went back today at 12+5 and I was amazed at how much more you could see xx

Scan has been booked and will be done exactly when I'm 13 weeks. So excited!!!! Xxx
