Hi I'm 9 weeks pregnant and my sickness has steadily grown more and more unbearable the past 2 weeks.. I can barely get out of bed and feel nausea all the time. Eating toast used to help a bit but now I cannot hold it down anymore.. I am really worried about taking too many days off work, my gp gave me some pills but they have no effect whatsoever. Do any of you have any advice??

Hey! If you come over to the Hyperemesis Support thread there's loads of advice there. You're better off telling ypur GP the tablets aren't working... There's more you can try. As for taking time off of work, either get signed off until you feel better or tell your employer. They can't discriminate, so like a usual sick day would be noted but for pregnancy it can't be held against you.

Hopefully you'll feel better soon, but I know how you feel! 2nd pregnancy and bad sickness. Ice lollies can help, as can fleshy fruits like mango etc.

Kat I am exactly the same!!! I'm really struggling to find anything that helps atm. I tried eating crackers in bed through the night and before I get up but that literally worked for a day. If you find anything that works let me know. Hope your okay x
