Hello,

I'm not sure if I'm just super-anxious about this but I've done 8 home tests - all BFP and have had cramp-like period pains (as well as some other symptoms). My question is whether antidepressants can affect the result on tests and if so, would it really affect 8?!

They were all super quick to turn positive which makes me think they're accurate, but I'm really nervous that it's just the tablets I'm on (20mg Citalopram).

I'm a week overdue for my period but have missed them before due to stress, never had any positive tests but at the time wasn't on medication.

Sorry if this is a rambling post but I'm really nervous as I really want this!

I'm currently on sertraline and 10 weeks pregnant. I had the same thought as I only started the sertraline a month before my positive test. I went to my doctor who said it wouldn't give a false positive and he confirmed I was pregnant with a test at the surgery.

I had cramps too, I think it's from the implantation but they stopped around week 6.

not that I'm aware of. I'm taking 100mg sertraline and midwives so far all agree it's fine/better to stay on it and did not question my pregnant status.

Ok that's good to know! Thank you 🙂
