Antibiotics while pregnant

Hi all,

I’ve come down with tonsillitis on my 6th week. I can barely get out of bed and the doctors have put me on penicillin 4 times a day.
I know it must be safe as the doctors have issued it but has anyone else used it?
Any natural remedies to get rid of this would be helpful too!

I took antibiotics for a uti while 9 weeks pregnant with no issues. If the dr has said it's okay, I would take it, it's important to get yourself better in order to keep baby healthy.

I'm allergic to penicillin but have been prescribed cefalexin twice during pregnancy, for a uti around 18 weeks and for tonsilitis at around 26 weeks. Assured by both hospital and gp that this was fine to take. Feel better soon 🤞

Thank you, I started using it yesterday and already feel a lot better. My temperature has dropped from 39.2 to 37.8 so they must be working!! Xx
