Hi

Abit of an odd one . For the past few days ive been able to feel my cervix’s really uncomfortably low it kind of feels like when you put a tampon in and it’s not in the right place , I’m a little concerned as I thought by now they would be well up and hidden , I have a history of early miscarriages (chemicals) so itis really playing on my mind , I don’t yet have a midwife and my next scan isn’t until 10 weeks at the EPAU , I’m struggling to find similar experiences on google , has anyone else had similar and everything been ok ? Thanks x

I’m currently 5+5 and have been able to feel my low cervix pretty much since I found out. I was certain it would mean miscarriage which terrified me at first but I asked the midwife and GP, both were adamant that if there’s no blood there’s no issue. Your body is weird and does things how it likes. I’ve strongly been told- no blood no problem!

Stop checking it because you could potentially open it or introduce infection. If you are worried you could go to the EPAU and they could check - feeling pelvic pressure at this early stage, with your history, might prompt them into providing you with a cervical length scan to ensure it isn’t opening. If not you can pay for it privately.

I haven't checked my cervix’s with my fingers i can feel itis low as itis very uncomfortable like i have a tampon in that isn’t quite in the right place . I have considered phoning the EPAU but i thought it may be best to ask on here first to see ifit can happen , it has been a very long time since i had my other children (12-15 years) so i can’t remember if i have had this in previous pregnancies .

Thankfully i haven’t had any bleeding or pain itis just very uncomfortable down there. I can’t remember if i have had it in my previous pregnancies as they were a very long time ago now (12-15 years) so I’m unsure if it is “normal” for me .
