Tall women, when did you start showing?

I'm 6 feet tall and 19 weeks with twins, FTM. When dressed even I can barely tell that I'm pregnant, in fact I just look like I've put on a bit of weight. I have had to switch clothes and my boobs and belly are growing. Friends are telling me that they can't tell by looking at me, which I feel is a bit weird as I have two of them growing. Any other tall ladies (especially if you've had / hazing twins) find the same thing?

With my first I was over six months before you could tell...I m 5'9...

imustadmithehassomeflare · 04/08/2019 18:56

Dc1 didn't really show at all, then arrived at 23 weeks so I don't know when the bump would have appeared.

DC2 I was showing by 12 weeks.

I'm 5'10 but also a bit overweight.

Peony99 · 04/08/2019 19:17

5'8 ish (so not super tall), and it became noticeable at about 15 weeks.

I'm quite skinny though so I suspect it's more obvious.

csmw · 04/08/2019 19:34

I'm 6ft1 with my 1st people couldn't tell till I was about 7 months. With my second I was about 5 months when I got a little bump but had a really big one by the end

usersouthcoast · 04/08/2019 19:41

I'm 5ft9 and a half.

With my first pregnancy (single baby) I honestly didn't show until I was about 5 months, and even then could hide it so easily.

Second pregnancy with twins, I'm 12 weeks now, but I was showing from about 10 weeks! Was not expecting to be in my maternity jeans already.

Potplant · 04/08/2019 19:41

5 10 also twins and I had a tiny bump before my first scan. You could defintely see it when I was I dressed. I thought I had hidden it well but A couple of people at work had guessed. I was pretty slim before I got pg.

20 weeks coincided with my 2nd wedding anniversary and we went on holiday. I've got pics where I look quite big.

I put 3 stone on overall.

Potplant · 04/08/2019 19:42

*dressed should say undressed

JoJoSM2 · 04/08/2019 19:45

I'm 5'11 and needed maternity clothes in the first trimester already. By about weeks 16-18, people would give up seats on public transport when I got on. A very large singleton pregnancy.

AndBeholdAWhiteHorse · 04/08/2019 20:02

I'm 5'9 and 23 weeks today. I just look fat. Mum is being kind saying there is a definite bump but to me I just look like I have eaten too much. I was a size 12 bottom and 10 top and now just look like a size 16 with a protruding tummy. I'm looking forward to a bump. If I lie down it is there Smile

Weathergirl1 · 04/08/2019 20:28

5'8 here and usually a 10-12 (depending on brand and whether I can get my broad shoulders in!) with my first singleton. Usually pretty slim/athletic and have mostly just widened around the waist. It's been obvious to me and DH for ages (as usually flat chested) but I think the increase in chest size has masked my stomach a bit. Only just feel like I can't really hide it any more this last week (I'm 24w on Tuesday) so we've been telling people before they start to guess! Must have abs of steel or something holding it all in!

Love this post as it reassures me. I’m 5’9 and I think if anyone who knows me saw me they may just think I’ve gained a few lbs! Definitely no bump and I’m still in all my size 12-14 clothes! Although I did have to undo my button after dinner. Hoping it’s the start of a bump and not the fact I was a pig! I’m 17+4 with my 3rd and people keep saying ooooooo you should surely show by now! It’s annoying and doesn’t help matters so it’s nice to know others are in the same boat xx

Teddybear45 · 05/08/2019 00:52

I’m 5 7 so not tall but I only started to show (slightly!) this week. I am 22 weeks. I have gained an overall 2 kg since the start of the pregnancy and look more ‘filled out’ but apart from jeans and bras which I gave up as my skin is more sensitive to now, I am wearing my old clothes.

cockcrowfarm · 09/08/2019 06:02

I'm 5"7 and 'hid' bump underneath baggy tops/carefully placed belts/dark colours untill after 7 months. My students were very surprised when i told them on the last day of term!

JimbosJetSet · 09/08/2019 06:31

Well over 20 weeks before I looked noticeably pregnant - I definitely had bump envy!

JimbosJetSet · 09/08/2019 06:31

I'm 6 foot btw

cockcrowfarm · 09/08/2019 06:48

Im 39 weeks now and also have bump envy when i see those big beautiful round bellies!

BillieEilish · 09/08/2019 06:56

5'9''

8 months, I looked like I'd put on weight. Not pregnant.

Before that you would never have known.
