I'm booked in for my first sweep tomorrow and I have another on Wednesday. Someone told me to keep 'active' after it's been done because it helps. What's best to do? I have a birthing ball and my partner will be at work.
Also did a sweep work for you? I'm 39+3 and have it drilled in my head I'll go over my due date and need induced so I'll try anything to get baby to come naturally 😬

I wouldn’t have a sweep until I was overdue.

I’d ask them my bishops score before accepting a sweep.

I had one at 41+6 as a last ditch attempt to avoid induction. Yes it worked but I was already 2-3cm and ready to go. I’d never have one otherwise.

They working your body is ready to go. Definitely don't have one is you're not fully engaged because of cord prolapse risk

Get rest in now as you'll need it for then next few weeks

@PhoebeBear I had one at 37+2, it was more to check my cervix etc but the consultant did a sweep as my body was ready to go, she said 1 In 7 women who have a sweep go into labour and I would be that 1!! I was induced 7 days later 😂 I did go home & sit on my ass though 😁
