Bloody show

I'm currently 37+1 weeks pregnant and for the past few days I've been having thick, stringey clear discharge which I believe is my mucus plus. Last night I had intercourse with my husband and after I had a bleed, is this the bloody show? Does this mean labour is close?
I never lost my mucus plug with my first baby so this is new to me.
I've had some cramping today and pains in my abdominal areas

Have you spoken to midwife/hospital for advice?

My experience of having a show with DS1 was, having him in my arms two weeks later.

No I haven't spoke to them. I've not had any blood for a few hours now just back to clear so I'll keep an eye on it x

I think 'bloody show' normally just refers to blood-streaked mucus? If there was a lot of blood I'd call the midwife.
