Has anyone else's baby been estimated rather large? What does it mean? Does it mean he'll come early? More likely to have a c section? I'm hoping he has just had a growth spurt and will average out, but apparently the average weight is 3lb3 for 31 weeks.

I'm freaking out and worried for my poor vagina. Haha help

The estimates of weight are really not accurate in my opinion, that is going by what friends have said too. They said my baby was at least 10.5lb in the days before birth - caused me to have panic attacks! Was actually just over 9lb and most of that was because long baby so head and shoulders no bigger that a smaller baby. Take with a pinch of salt!

I really wouldn't take too much notice, I was told my boy was 6lb 9 he was born. 2 weeks later at 5lb 6 🙄x

I was told my DD was around 8lb-ish. She was born at 6lb 8oz.

I was told around 9lb. He was 9lb 5. A friend was told 9lb and he came out 6lb.

I was told my son would be around 8lbs and he came out at 5lbs 3oz

You don't actually know what weight the baby is now much less what weight they will be at full term so don't panic. There's a really high margin of error on growth scan estimates.

Baby appears to be growing well, that's good news and all you can really say for now.

I was told my DD would be 10lbs. She was 7lb 12oz
