I’m around 11-12 weeks pregnant and had no scans yet, unsure on dates as have PCOS so periods are irregular.

The last couple days I’ve had cramping more on my right side and pink/white discharge with red stringy blood? It’s increasing everytime i wipe, I’ve been to out of hours gp and have a scan booked for tomorrow morning, I never had this with my first pregnancy and really concerned it’s a MMC, doctor mentioned pregnancy not being in the right place (ectopic) and that I may be earlier than I think, I’m quite positive on my dates as we’ve being trying for 8 months and I’ve logged everything and taken pregnancy tests regularly so therefore I’m sure it would have ruptured my Fallopian tube by now? I’ve lost my nausea and my appetite is coming back which I’m also not sure if that’s because I’m miscarrying or I’m around 12 weeks, suppose I’m just looking for other people’s experiences with miscarriage etc? Hope some of this makes sense!

I've no advice to offer just couldn't read and run. Hope everything turns out ok for you.

I'm so sorry you've not had any more comments with advice/shared experiences.

Anyone?

OP how are you now?

Jampot36 · 03/08/2019 21:42

I have no experience but am 7 weeks tomorrow and started bleeding tonight. I have an emergency scan booked in morning. Get an emergency scan to be sure. I dont have any advice but we're probably feeling very similar and i wanted to say you're not on your own. X

My last pregnancy I bled at 8 weeks. Brown turned to red quite quickly. Scan at 9 weeks confirmed baby hadn't got passed 8 weeks. Not sure about it being ectopic but if it was a ruptured tube that they suspect surely they would be scanning you asap. I think ectopic pregnancies have shoulder point pain as well (though this may not be the case for every ectopic pregnancy). Do you have any pain?
I hope you get answers soon. Look after yourself, rest if you can, take pain killers and request a scan asap.

Haven't got any advice unfortunately but just wanted to wish you luck for your scan tomorrow

Twintwo234 · 04/08/2019 08:10

Thank you everyone for the support, they’re ringing me at 9am to go for a scan this morning so will finally know then, I’ve never had a miscarriage before so no idea if what I’m looking at is normal, just never had/felt anything like it in my first pregnancy, I have no pain in my shoulder either, hoping for the best I will keep you updated and hope you’re all also doing well Smile

No advice but good luck Thanks

I really hope it’s good news for you! Bleeding isn’t always a sign of miscarriage, but unfortunately it isn’t usually a good sign. I had a MMC at 12 weeks last year (2nd preg) I had no symptoms just started with brown/ pink blood when I wiped had a scan next day and I knew it’s wasnt viable. Although they sent us away to go back in a few days to measure HCG levels but bleeding became heavier and cramps started (like period). Very sad and hard time. Ectopic doesn’t always have shoulder pain. I’m so glad you are getting a scan today please let us know xx

Twintwo234 · 04/08/2019 11:00

@AmC39 thanks for sharing and I’m sorry for your loss Flowers my scan is at 1:50 and they told me to go to gynae assessment unit after, is this normal? I had some bloods taken yesterday for hormones etc but forgot to ask about results on the phone, now I’m wondering if it’s standard to get results from gynae or if they had an indicator of miscarriage from hcg levels, going mad overthinking over here! 1.50 can’t come quick enough xx

@Jampot36 hope you’re well, how did you scan go? All the best Flowers

I went to EPU for scan. I went back there to have repeat bloods done 48hrs later. They told me it takes 48 hours to get a good reading of a drop in HCG. I knew from my scan that the baby should’ve been more fully formed as I knew my dates and knew i was 12 weeks, I knew but they kept me hanging on which I know they have to be 100% sure the pregnancy isn’t viable but I knew they were just following protocol. I don’t live in England so I’m unsure of why they’ll send you to gynae they may send you there for bloods. EPU and gynae are in he same ward in my area. please keep us posted if m praying for good news! Xx

Hi @Twintwo234 .

I had a MMC which begun around 12 weeks started with cramping and stringy blood etc. That was my first pregnancy.

I'm now pregnant again and had the same this time at 12 weeks cramping and stringy blood, pink discharges but everything is absolutely fine.

I didn't want to just say for certain that everything will be fine.. but our bodies work in mysterious ways and I pray that everything is ok for you and your baby.
The wait for scan is horrible!

Youvegotafriendinme · 04/08/2019 11:29

I had a MMC last year at 13.5w. No signs at all. Went for my 12 week scan and baby had died at around 11 weeks. This was my second pregnancy.

With my DS my symptoms stopped suddenly just before 12 weeks and I was adamant I’d lost the baby but the scan showed other signs.

I hope your scan goes well. Thinking of you Flowers

Twintwo234 · 04/08/2019 14:45

Hi everyone, the scan wasn’t good news, they found an 8 week sac and a little tiny baby at that bottom which didn’t develop, I have to go back tomorrow as the sonographer couldn’t get a second opinion, thanks for all your comments and support, sorry to hear about your losses and wish you all the best in future x
