Hi,

I feel ridiculous writing this as I know I'm only 21 weeks however, the last 2 weeks i have been in absolute agony with my lower back and sometimes my hips.

I have constant pain in my lower back which at times will come in waves and can take my breath away, I know it's not preterm labour pains etc and this has being going on for weeks now. I also feel as if the pain in my back is worse when getting braxton hicks

I do have a very petite bump so baby must be in my back however there must be something I can do I can't take the pain any longer 😭

Assuming you've talked to the hospital/doctor and ruled out preterm labour etc, things that help:

  • pregnancy yoga, for flexibility, stretching
  • pregnancy pilates to build your core and take the pressure off your back
  • pregnancy specialist osteopath/physio
  • pregnancy massage
  • swimming
  • pregnancy pillow for support at night
  • a back support at your desk in work
  • a pregnancy belt to hold bump as it increases in size and weight
