Hi !!

Can someone please tell me what changes (if any) that you have to make when following Slimming World whilst pregnant. Not ready to tell the consultant (despite the 'confidentiality')... Yet I want to make sure I'm doing it right.

Thank you

2 healthy extra Bs is the only difference at my group!

I think they just put you on a plan so you "maintain" rather than "lose" so you will be able to have a bit extra than your current plan allows for.

Ahh so the extra Hex's will help you not lose. I'll have 2 A's & 2 B's. Then at least I won't be upset at maintaining because I'll know why. It's a case of waiting until 12 weeks to tell her. Thank you for the help. Smile

Now they’ve increased the HExA to 2 for all members, the guidelines is 3x HExA and 2x HExB per day. I have a form my midwife is supposed to sign at each appointment to confirm they are happy for you to continue attending meetings.

Omg thank you so much. SmileThanksStar

It's surprisingly very hard to find that info out online.

I'm telling my midwife that I'm following the plan at my 1st appointment (by which I'll be 6.5 weeks), it's just harder telling my consultant as she's in my friendship circle too so literally trying to hold off until the 12 week scan (despite the confidentiality she has to treat me with).

I mean me following SW will mean me being so much healthier over if I wasn't as I make broths/cook meals with veg/nutritious home cooked meals with potato & lean meat so I am hoping my conscious decision to not say anything yet won't harm for the 5 1/2 weeks more weeks after my 1st appointment.

I know what to avoid .... Soft cheeses, too much certain fish, raw egg etc... I've been massively researching that part.

Thanks so much again for your help. Grin
