Going to the EPU today at 6+1 what can I expect? Had some pains.

Hi my lovelies, looking for reassurance.

Miscarriage at 6 weeks 1 day in May. No pain just bleeding

Iv had period like pain for two days I am constipated on and off.

Rang the EPU they said they will scan me and do my bloods due to my anxiety being bad and previous miscarriage

Nervous I won’t see a heartbeat noted a lot of people seeing an empty sac! I’m so nervous! Can I have some positivity please?

Also how much water should I drink they never told me if it’s internal or external xxxx

will probably be an internal, i had one done at approx 6 weeks 4 days as i had heavy red bleeding and terrible cramps, found bump straight away, even saw the heartbeat, everything was fine, though please bare in mind that i feel incredibly lucky, lots of people on here will have had negative experiences.

they could find no reason at all for the bleeding, and when i said about the cramps she told me that i was very "backed up" basically i was full of shit lol and recommended a safe to use in pregnancy laxative.

i did not need a full bladder for an internal scan, in fact they said it was better with an empty bladder, as you don't know whether you're having an internal or external i would drink a bottle of water, then go to the loo if needed.

Sorry meant to say I’m not bleeding this time I was last time just have really bad cramping. I’m nervous as I keep seeing people having 6 week scans and nothing found just a sac? I’m so glad everything was ok for you xxx

I had bad period pain like cramps from 6 weeks to 30 all was fine,just v so painful and worrying.I had 10 scans in all as I had bad anxiety due to it

I had a bleed at 6+4, had an ultrasound to which they could see the sac & beginning of fetal pole, but no heartbeat and actually dated me at 4+4 obviously ovulated a little later. scheduled appointment for 2 weeks later to see if the pregnancy had progressed. And there she was, little flickering heartbeat. She's 3 now!! I had 2 precious miscarriages before her so she is my rainbow baby!
I echo what a PP has said, a lot of people have bad experiences which is absolutely heartbreaking to experience and also to read. But try to remain positive, I'm currently 17+6 with baby no2 and had horrific period like pains in the first few weeks, so much is changing at a rapid pace and your body is under an immense amount of strain. So I think a few pains here and there are actually quite common!
