Do I contact midwife?

Hi all,

I'm 13 weeks into my first pregnancy and so far so good, minus the usual early symptoms that seemed to go away from about 7 weeks.

When I first saw midwife I had low blood pressure and was slightly underweight/low bmi but everything else was fine. I've been extremely tired since finding out I was pregnant but for the last few weeks it's becoming almost unbearable. I've got a constant headache and I can barely muster up the energy to get out of bed. I've always been very low on energy even before becoming pregnant but it's definitely getting worse...

Do I just suck it up and accept this is pregnancy or is it worth contacting the midwife? Will she be able to advise of any safe remedies for upping my energy levels or will it be a waste of her time to contact her?

Thanks!! X

I would definitely contact your midwife or GP. You may be anaemic (very common in pregnancy) and need iron supplements. If no clear medical cause then diet and lifestyle changes may also help you feel better, they should be able to advise you on this too x

Thank you @peamad! Don't want to bother unnecessarily but not sure where the line is when pregnant! contacted midwife and she suggested I see GP as you said. Thanks again x
