BFP after d and c

I had a d and c on the 21st may (over two months ago). I just took a pregnancy test today and got a BFP. Went and bought another 2 - also BFP. Could this still be from by old pregnancy or could I be pregnant again? I have only had sex twice since the d and c and didn't think I was in fertile days as such.

Congratulations! I know that cautious feeling all too well. At one point my boss at work said to me 'you really have to start believing now that it's really going to happen!' Smile

@RobinsNest17 do you mind me asking you your story? Are you expecting at the moment x

@family2 I am indeed expecting at the moment... baby number 2! It's a long story but with a happy ending.

I experienced multiple MMCs with surgical management after each one, and with long (several months) gaps between each one. After several years, we started pursuing IVF in 2016 but fell naturally at the end of the year, then MMC'd that one too. That time we decided to say 'sod it' to the advice and didn't wait for my cycle to restart before we DTD... had ERPC surgery on 24th Feb, got a call from hospital on 28th March to say the lab analysis hadn't found the foetal cells and asking me to do a test. Did one, positive, and was distraught thinking I'd been carrying my missed baby around with me. Went in for a scan and they couldn't see the old pregnancy- but a 'cystic structure'. After several HCG tests, it was confirmed as a new embryo. First scan was at 3.5 weeks, so no wonder it wasn't clearly a baby that early! Baby had been conceived 17 days after the surgery. Had lots of early monitoring- the comment from my boss came at about 10 weeks. Healthy baby arrived in December 2017.

We assumed it was very unlikely to happen again, at least not easily, so after having issues with the Pill I came off it and fell again naturally within 6 months of doing so- and now baby 2 is due on baby 1's birthday in December!

Thank you @Ginmonkey84
@RobinsNest17 thank you for sharing your story. What a journey you've been on! I'm delighted for you that you are expecting again and that you have a wee baby at home after all you've experienced.
It's weird psychologically as you convince yourself you can't carry (well I kind of have) so it's a strange experience. I have 2 children but the journey to the third has been a roller coaster.
I think I have to just be grateful for where I'm at and try not to worry about what could happen,
