Bruise/blue red skin around groin

Hi, does anyone have any experience of blue red patching around the groin? Just worried it could be something more serious

I had a DVT scare in my left calf a few weeks ago, full ultrasound and blood tests- nothing sinister, diagnosed with likely varicose eczema. But now got a patch of skin on my groin/ bikini line- red and blue/purple spots, looks a bit like bruising. Am 28 weeks pregnant.

Go to your GP.

No idea what it is, but at 28 weeks I'd be taking no chances. See a midwife or GP today, if necessary go to A&E. Hope it turns out to be nothing - good luck!

My GP is completely useless, if I ask for an appointment they offer one in 3 weeks time. I think it is a reaction to waxing (tried to wax my bikini line at home) but I have only just noticed it now as finding it harder to see down there with the bump.

Can you go to adau or the labour ward at your hospital? Not to stress you out but it could be a whole host of nasty things from cellulitis to sepsis. Go now.

@Teddybear45 I do think it is in response to the waxing, think I have just bruised/irritated the skin, it is just hard to tell if it was there before as I find it hard to look at the bikini line with the bump in the way
