Finally reached the last week (potentially) of my pregnancy hurray!
However I don't feel like I have any signs baby will be making an appearance any time soon.. I haven't experienced any contractions at all yet and as far as I know I haven't felt any Braxton hicks. Baby is very active right now and he's low down, midwife says 2/5 engaged when I saw her 2 weeks ago, so he's definitely getting there. I have some pressure down below and I've had the odd period- like cramp and a little back ache but that's about it 🤷🏼‍♀️
When did you start feeling labour is pending? I'm worried I'm going to be going weeks past my due date 😔

@Brain06626 your comments have been deleted so I'm not sure what you said

Brain06626 is a spam bot, it has just been posting links to a sex hook up site all over MN.

I can't offer much advice to you as this is my first baby, but I'm 37 weeks and feeling the same way as you - I've been having twinges and period like cramps but it never amounts to anything! Hopefully someone with more experience will pop up and offer advice...

39+2 here with baby number 2! My first was born at 39 weeks and I was so sure this one would be even earlier so I've been symptom spotting like craaaazy for a week now. Absolutely nothing! Having said that, I don't remember feeling any different the 24 hours before my last labour started, just woke up at 4am with terrible back pain that turned out to be back labour. My waters had to be broken in the hospital and I have no memory of ever noticing losing the mucus plug either!
I didn't get any Braxton Hicks with my first either. Good luck, Phoebe, keep us updated, it's nice to have someone to share the last stretch with!!

@someonesmother ah that's good to hear other experiences 😊 and quite relieving to hear that it's possible to not have any symptoms before labour arriving. I just have it in my head that my body just isn't going to naturally do what it should and that I'm going to need help (being induced)
I guess it's a waiting game.
How's everything on your end?

That's exactly how I feel! Ever since I went over 39 weeks I feel like I'm over my due date since that's when my 1st was born! Physically I'm fine, probably fitter than last time, but my mind is going crazy. It doesn't help that I know this baby is bigger than the first. I had a measurement scan at 38 weeks and she was already 400g heavier than my 1st daughter was at birth, plus the head already measured 40weeks 2 days. So I'm starting to freak out a bit...
Our first really came when we least expected it, so maybe you'll get a surprise in the next few days! Smile

I'm 39 weeks today (Friday) and have also had no signs whatsoever yet! My bump is quite low, baby's head is engaged according to the midwife and a growth scan I had last week, but other than that, I actually feel less pregnant than I did when I was still at work! I feel much less "heavy" and heartburn seems to be better. I feel like the baby is extremely comfortable in there and don't feel like there is any imminent Labour coming on at all. Its my first too, so no idea when or how she will come, or what to expect.
How are you passing the time?
I'm trying to do lots of walking and bouncing on my ball! Xxx

Same as you, Crossfit, walking and bouncing, and cleaning. My parents in law are here and helping out with our 3 yr old.
I totally get that feeling that baby is comfortable too!

I'm 38 weeks and 5 days and with this pregnancy every twinge or pain I think oo, but nothing. My daughter came one day after her due date, and I felt no twinges with her or feeling any different, my waters popped at 7am and by 8am my contractions started... so I have no idea how this one will go. I am booked in for an induction next Sunday if he doesn't arrive so I'm hoping he will make an appearance in his own. Good luck all, hopefully not too long now!

Well ladies, my 2nd daughter was born today, in the back of the car on the way to hospital!!! Shock
Good luck to everyone else, how's everyone feeling?

Crossfitgirl · 04/08/2019 19:45

@someonesmother oh my goodness!! Congratulations! That must have been very quick... Was your first a quick labour? Xxx
