Transverse at 37 weeks

Please share your experiences. I've just spent the evening googling and scaring myself! I'm booked for an ELCS at 39 weeks but baby is transverse, having a scan tomorrow to check if he still is. What will happen if he is? They mentioned admitting me and this would be a nightmare (childcare) although I've read about the potential risks. Would they possibly bring the CS forward? Please share, I am really anxious now.

My son was transverse at 37 weeks. I don't think it's a problem if you have a CS booked anyway. My OB did say that depending on the way the baby's lying, it's not always easy to do the usual low incision but they didn't plan on bringing forward the CS. Then at next scan they found he had turned to footling breech and did bring the CS forward as there's a risk of cord prolapse in that position if I went into labour naturally. I had my CS at 38+6 and DS was absolutely fine.
