My SIL is curently 12 weeks pregnant with twins. She is a size 20-22 and takes a tall trouser length. She has been finding it impossible to buy maternity clothes to fit her. Does anyone know of any shops that sell maternity lothes to fit her? Thanks in advance.

www.evans.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?catalogId=20554&storeId=12553&categ oryId=85944&langId=-1&top=Y

Evans does maternity wear.

This site also does it

I'm a size 22/24 normally and have just bought Evans normal stuff to wear, but in the next size up.

I personally wouldn't bother too much with proper "maternity" tops and just stick to normal stuff but bigger. She may have to buy maternity trousers tho. I'm 23+1 and am still in my normal trousers, although as i'm small waisted, they have always swamped me anyway.

Congrats to your SIL!

Next do size 20. Debenhams used to, but I'm not sure whether they still do.

Just had a look at the Evans and Bumps and Beyond maternity stuff and i have to say i'm not very impressed!! With all the smock type tops that are in at the moment, they are perfect for expanding tummies and are 10,000 times better and prettier than that boring maternity stuff!

RGPargy · 01/08/2007 16:32

PS - sorry for the over use of !!!!! but clothes for us large ladies really frustrate me coz they're all friggin' pants!!!!!!!!!!!x 1,000

Try Plus Size maternity Wear

JackieNo · 01/08/2007 16:35

Agree, RGPargy.

RGPargy · 01/08/2007 16:38

Sorry, but THIS is hideous!!!

I've been on that website before and alot of the stuff is really old fashioned.

Bubbaloo · 01/08/2007 16:47

Next go upto a size 22 in Maternity wear and have some lovely stuff in their new catalogue.Infact I'm quite disappointed I'm not pg at the mo.

lailasmum · 01/08/2007 16:51

try H&M too they do up size 22 in pretty much everything I think.

twinsplus1 · 01/08/2007 16:59

I'm also a size 22 and had twins. I bought stuff from Blooming Marvellous and bigger stuff from Evans and Ann Harvey.

I did get SO big at the end that I had to cut the elastics on trousers or hold them with an elastic hairband round the button/hole.

I also had one enormous tent dress from blooming marvellous which was not very nice looking but at the end it was a case of whatever fitted!!

Good luck to her with her babies!

filchthemildmanneredjanitor · 01/08/2007 17:00

mothercare do up to a 20 i think. next a 22.
marks and spencer do up to a 22 i think .

cupcake78 · 01/08/2007 20:03

I am a 20 on the bottom and find that some of the mothercare things are actually too big for me.

Next size 22 is actually quite small. It isn't easy but I have managed to find some nice things to wear some are maternity some are not.

Good luck

Another vote for H&M - was just there today - I am 5'10 and their trousers fit me and they dogo up to 22/XXL

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 01/08/2007 20:11

When I had my DS I just bought the size up in Evans

mumtodd · 01/08/2007 20:16

The catalogue company Simply Be do larger size maternity wear. Simplybe.co.uk
I haven't bought any of the maternity but some of it looks nice.

DizzyBrummie · 02/08/2007 08:56

Next goes up to 20 and also does longer length trousers too, I'm 6ft and it was the only place I could get trousers to fit.

PurpleLostPrincess · 02/08/2007 09:39

Dorothy Perkins goes up to size 22 and I've managed to get loads of stuff really cheap on ebay if that helps?

EscapeFrom · 02/08/2007 09:42

I was a size 18 and mostly just bought bigger sizes. I took a 24 when 8.5 months pregnant.

Tell her to get a few VERY long tunic type tops, and some leggings. They would be the most comfortable.
