Currently 38+4 weeks pregnant. Midnight yesterday I started having contractions. First few were irregular and very niggly. Built into lasting 50 seconds long and coming every 3-4 minutes. Went to hospital at 4am and midwife examined straight away and said I was 2cm and very soft cervix. Full on contractions from top of stomach all the way down and constant back pain. Then in hospital after being monitored for 2 hours and showing full blown contractions they just stopped completely. This is my second labour. 1st labour was very different with contractions never ending and no breaks (5 days late - induced due to prom. Has anyone had anything like this? How many times did it just stop and start?
