Hello, i am a 28 year old female. This is my first post ever so bear with me if its long. i have been on the pill for 3 years (yasmin). I missed 2 pills this month, i went at least 54 hours without taking it, only realized when i went to take the pill after sex. Since then i have had cramps similar to period cramps 6 days after the deed this lasted till right now (still going). This made me wonder but though " no way what are the chances" i was feeling dizzy and tired and a little nauseous. my nipples were very sore, and my breasts swollen (could have been pms) I did get the period in the pill free week. It was almost 2 days late which happens never! and lasted only a day and half with very little red blood, mostly brown (tmi sorry). Usually it lasts 4 days, but It could be just a weird cycle as the pill can cause this, shorter and lighter period. What makes me still wonder is the fact that my period finished but my breasts are bigger and heavier than usual ( this only happens when i put on significant weight, and i haven't), my nipples are still killing me, even water in the shower is uncomfortable. I cant wear tshirt without a bra as the pain is too much. I feel dizzy and today i started feeling nauseous again...more queasy tbh, i have to push my self to eat cause appetite is gone since even before my period. I still have those mild cramps which are quite different than period cramps. All of this should have been gone by now. I'm i going crazy or is there still a possibility i could be pregnant? Or is it a weird cycle? Im supposed to start my next pack tomorrow...but i have a feeling i shouldn't, but also logic is telling me to relax i got my period..so I'm not pregnant for sure, and its all in my head. I know i should take a pregnancy test but its so expensive ( we dont have the cheap ones where i live) and i dont want to spend money if its all just in my head. I guess im just looking to see if anyone has experienced any of this and what was the outcome. Also i am not activley trying or anything! Thank you Smile

I’d definitely take a test and not start a new pack until I had.

i should take a test, i just keep telling myself that a period is a period. and if it was morning sickness or pregnancy hormone related i would know...it wouldn't be just queasiness. i must add it wouldn't be the end of the world if i was pregnant. its just not the right time as i am in the middle of my graduate degree atm. as for my sore nipples, its very weird i don't usually have pms symptoms. Just the monthly dessert craving chaos haha Grin but the pill can mess with the body. i will test this week if i continue feeling like this, thank you.

I am not sure what you mean by 'i would know if it was pregnancy related sickness'. Plenty of women are nauseous but don't actually vomit much at all. I have been pregnant three times and never had nausea or sickness, or many symptoms at all to be honest. Every pregnancy really is different.

I wouldnt hesitate to test, just to rule it out. If you are pregnant you will want to start taking folic acid as soon as possible.

Well obviously I've been googling these days, and i read that if it is indeed morning sickness then it would really hit you and it wouldn't be just "a little nauseous" and it would be after week 6, but yeah i guess every woman and pregnancy is different.

You’re right, every woman and pregnancy is different and most pregnancies are very different or even the opposite to what you just described. Please stop googling. Just take a test.

JemimaPuddlePeacock · 30/07/2019 19:36

You really need to take a test.

Even moreso if you would struggle to comfortably afford a pregnancy test. If you can’t afford a pregnancy test all the more reason to find out whether you’re pregnant as you have some serious decisions to make, and the longer you leave it the fewer options you may have.

maggie91 · 30/07/2019 19:42

JemimaPuddlePeacock, i can afford a pregnancy test just fine.. i just prefer not to pointlessly spend money if i am just being paranoid. And not everyone is comfortable with the "option" you are referring to. but that is a different topic all together.
