Feeling ravenous at 7 weeks pregnant

When I was pregnant with DD, at 6 weeks I had horrendous sickness.

This time with DC2... I’ve had few symptoms. I had a bit of sickness at 4 weeks which is gone...sore breasts which is intermittent but pretty much gone...

But today I am ridiculously hungry. I have no idea why. Has anyone else had this? Is it pregnancy related?

I think so, very similar not too many symptoms but I am super hungry all the time. Fast approaching 8 weeks!

Same here! Currently 7+2, have had a tiny bit of sickness and like you my boobs are sore but not always really sore like they were in the beginning.
Today I have been absolutely starving, like feeling like I haven't ate for days!
I also start to feel a bit queasy if I don't eat anything.

@DaniX91 - I’m the exact same if I don’t eat anything, then I think to myself is this pregnancy related or am I just hungry?

Normal. Just eat. All the advice will be that eating for two is bollocks and you don't need any extra calories in the first trimester. I think if you're absolutely ravenous then your body is trying to tell you something. I ate six full size meals a day from week 6-12 and only gained 1 lb, so my body must have been doing something with it all.

DaniX91 · 30/07/2019 19:18

@Windthebobbinalready I think it's gotta be pregnant related, I've always liked my food and shock people with how much I can put away😂 but I've never gone from feeling fine to feeling starving within minutes!
@Tableclothing I agree, our bodies must be telling us something and if you ate that much and only gained 1lb then it must have been going somewhere ha

Oh god yes, both my pregnancies i’ve eaten for England and been nauseous if i didn’t. It tailed off around 12 weeks (along with the raging tiredness) but it definitely wasn’t normal hunger - some days i ate my packed lunch as soon as i arrived at work, then had to go out for lunch Blush

I was famished throughout my first and second trimester - I ate so much, just couldn't feel full.
I did end up getting gestational diabetes and was never clear if it was linked or not

During my 1st trimester, i was constantly hungry i just ate little and often and that seemed to help, im now 22 weeks and the hunger has tailed off thankfully

Windthebobbinalready · 30/07/2019 21:29

Thanks all.

The hunger had resulted in the most horrific tramped wind 😳 was so painful. It’s passed now thankfully!

I had lost a bit of weight in the first trimester with DD but I don’t think this will be the case with this baby!

I used to cry with hunger. It didn’t last though thankfully. Although it was replaced with horrendous heartburn instead.

fonxey · 30/07/2019 23:19

Yes. I'd have eaten sometimes arm at times i was so hungry.

I have been exactly the same since 6 weeks, now 10 weeks and no sign of stopping! I have discovered at an early scan that I am having twins however, I try and use that to justify it... I spoke to my midwife about it who essentially said if you’re hungry, eat! I just try and keep loads of fruit in the house so I’m not always reaching for the crumpets!!
