I'm 12 weeks pregnant and having bleeding when wiping

Hi, I'm 12 weeks and 5 days pregnant today, on Sunday from about 2pm I started having bleeding when wiping after going to the toilet a few hours later passed a clot it wasn't that big and very dark, ended up going to a&e and yesterday I was given an appointment at the early pregnancy unit, they gave me a scan and was so relieved to see my baby moving and being told they could see the heartbeat, however they didn't tell me why I would be bleeding and it still hasn't stopped, any advice would be great and if anyone else had had this happen this far in

I had bleeding throughout both of my pregnancies, and both were born perfectly healthy.

unsettling isnt it. with my sons pregnancy, i was bleeding randomly for weeks, had swabs and had infection... antibiotics cleared it up and stopped bleeding..... with this pregnancy, i had thrush - simple pessary cleared it up and stopped bleeding. didnt even have symptoms of thrush or infection. but thats what it was.

other than that, sometimes people just bleed for no reason.

How would I know if there was an infection there or thrush as they never mentioned anything like this when I went to the EPU, yes so unsettling, I hate going to the toilet because seeing the blood just worries me this is my second pregnancy and I had no bleeding at all with my first.

I had this. Told it was an ectropic cervix. Baby was fine just meant I bled more often. Especially if had sex. They examined me to tell me this - did you get an exam?
Now 30 and half weeks and progressing fine (other than other non bleeding complications!)

I'm almost 12 weeks and have had bleeding consistently pretty much once a week since week 5. Week 9 I had so much it went through my trousers and my thighs were covered. I have had numerous scans including after this incident and thus far everything is totally fine. My midwife says some women do just bleed throughout and sometimes there's no explanation. It's still terrifying everytime it happens though

I am in the same boat. 13w+2d today and Bleeding for last 3 days. Fittest it was just some brownish discharge when i wiped now it's more. I had the same with my second pregnancy(DS1) but I'm my first pregnancy i had a miscarriage hence more concerned. Had same 2 weeks back but scan showed everything was ok. Don't knows what to do... guess just wait n watch n hope for the best

But AlanaRs i had bleeding off n on with my DS so hopefully it's the same.. if it's darker colour its less to worry about... fingers crossed n hoping the best for u

I am 12 weeks pregnant tomorrow but I have had a big bleed with clots at 11 weeks. Gynae did an exam and neck of womb closed. Scan showed baby was OK. Then later the day of scan I started bleeding, now have been bleeding on and off. Has anyone else experienced this? At this point tissue is browney/red? How long did it last if you had it? Very worried and stressed :-(
