OH Referral

Hi all, please bear with me while I explain!

I'm 10 weeks pregnant, had to tell work very early and since have been office based and taken off different shift work to just working the same set shift everyday.

I haven't suffered badly with too many symptoms (sorry, don't want to sound like I'm bragging 🙈) but last week I was off ill for two days (the first and only times ever) with morning sickness and dizziness.

Whilst I was off, work were ringing me, asking when I would be back and suggesting an OH referral and that perhaps my start time could be made later to help my morning sickness. I explained I felt happy with the adjustments made already and my nausea usually happens later in the day anyway so I didn't feel it would make a difference.

When I returned today, I was pulled for a discussion with my line manager where I was told they had to make an OH referral and it was logged as 'at work with a health issue' as the reason. They also basically said it wasn't my decision about my start time adjustment, this would be decided from advice given to them from OH. They also said they were yet to receive the relevant paperwork which would take my 'sick' from just that to pregnancy related. The OH call isn't until August.

Am I just being a grumpy, hormonal woman or does this all seem a bit strange considering it was just 2 days and hardly a long term period and that I seem to have no voice?

Thanks for any thoughts 😁
