Washing a secondhand Snuzpod2

Recently bought a secondhand Snuzpod2 on eBay. Of course I’ve bought a new mattress, but despite the immaculate condition of the cot, I’d feel more comfortable getting it all washed down.

Has anyone successfully machine washed the fabric panels, and if so how did you remove the plastic inserts?

Am on standby to hand wash in the bath/shower....

I'm just about to get mine back out for DC2 and was debating the same. It looks pristine after barely 5mo of previous use. but will inevitably be dusty. Will probably just run the steam cleaner over the panels. Is that an option for you?

No steam cleaner, and not sure I could justify the cost for the one item!! In this weather I could probably hand wash and line dry pretty efficiently though...thank you for replying 😊

I washed mine ready for DS2, I put it in the machine on a lingerie wash, came out fine.

You can also buy replacement fabric directly from Snuz if you wanted. I decided to risk the machine and if it all went wrong I'd buy a replacement!

I don't know what number snuzpod we have (borrowed from BIL and SIL) but it has a plastic panel in the zip panel that is sewn in so you can't remove it to put it in the machine so I just dumped it in the bath with some fairy non bio and gave it a good scrub with a new nail brush I then rinsed it and hung it on the line to drip dry and it came up as good as new.

It’s in the machine, plastic insert and all, on a hand wash cycle.

I’ll let you all know if I need to go online to snuz!! 😂

Well, it survived the 30deg hand wash cycle, dried on the line and is now back on the frame like new! 😊 Just in case anyone else looks for similar questions.

That's two of us who have managed to wash it, I don't think you could do it frequently but occasionally and it seems to come up fine!

Ah thanks for the update. I have a 2nd hand Snuzpod3 I need to wash at some point soon so good to hear you had good results 👍

How do you remove the fabric? Is it easily done? X

It is quite to remove, just need to undo the screws with an alan key x
