Hello i really need some advice on my situation, I’m pregnant with my 3rd baby and I currently claim I.S, C.T.C and C.B. I currently receive pip as well but I’m unsure to what help I would get with my 3rd if any.

I read something thing that says if I claim pip I can claim all benefits for my 3rd is this correct? Please help

I don’t know how it works. I am single mum with my 3rd and I’ve been told I won’t get any extra help with CTC and WTC. Only CB. I work 36.5 hrs a week. Someone has said I may qualify for childcare costs for baby if I switch to UC but need to look into it.

@AO19 you only get CB after the 2nd child.

I think you only get TC for 3rd child if the child is receiving PIP

You can claim additional money for a child if the child is eligible for PIP.

But as you are the one entitled you don’t get anything for a 3rd child that others wouldn’t get - there is nothing extra. It’s written in one of the booklets.

You do get child benefit for extra children I wish people would stop saying that, it's around £13 a week so not much but it's there as long as your income is lower than 50K
