What's the best site for children's names?

My worst nightmare is approaching and I have to do the bloody name thing again. It was 6 weeks of hell with DD2!

Have 2 girls names in mind but want to look up how many other children are named them and what the meanings are. Do you have a top site recommendation?

if you google uk national statistics you should find it

I love www.babycenter.com/babyname/
You can search for most popular names of last year as well as searching by meaning, origin or number of syllables.
Good luck!

This is my bible at the moment.

www.statistics.gov.uk/specials/babiesnames_girls.asp

I'm not considering anything that's higher (lower?) than 50. I was always with about 8 other Sarah's both at school and work and I'm not having it for my child!

I like Behind the name for reasonably intelligent meanings and derivations.

Govt stats site suggested below handy for assessing UK trends, and NameVoyager is US-based but fun for seeing historical trends.
