Scan day!! Yaaaay!!

Feels like I’ve been waiting forever for it! 16+4 and really hoping I will find out the gender and he/she isn’t being awkward! Least it’s re scan guaranteed if not! Anyone else had a private gender and wellness scan? Xxx

Me! We had one yesterday and it was incredible. We asked the sonographer not to tell us and brought a confetti canon so we could do a big reveal with family - was honestly the most emotional, amazing thing!!
I’ve had 2 private scans and just find them so much nicer than the nhs ones - it’s a completely different more relaxed environment and they seem to have better equipment to produce better images.

Morning :) I would like a boy but I think another girl! I’m not really fussed. Going with my 2 best friends and my daughters!

My baby plays ball have a can of something fizzy an hour beforehand! I done this at my 16 week gender scan & she was wriggling around like mad so they got lots of clear pictures & videos.... Sonographer did comment that she was super hyper & did I have a coffee or fizzy drink beforehand!!! My sister & a few friends had warned me to do that as they had scans where Baba was sleeping & they couldn't wake baby to get the potty shots so were sent home & told to come back! I'd be so disappointed if that happened so opted for a can of coke instead

Oh no!!! How frustrating! I’ll ask my friend to call past the shop and grab a can of coke! Xx

I had one of those scans at 16+2 and it was a lovely experience. I opted to know the gender and my partner didn't so he was told to look away when they showed me on the screen. The gender pics were sealed away so he doesn't stumble over them either. There was a couple leaving as we arrived with a big black gender reveal balloon - they looked so excited too!

I had one at 16+1 - baby was a little monkey and would not cooperate! I had to go for three little walks, have a drink etc. Before she got a shot! She said boy in the end which was lovely (in all honesty I don't actually care, I just want to know!!) BUT then at my 20w scan I got told girl...!!! Similar story with baby playing up though. Had another NHS scan and that one said boy too so I think the private scan was correct although won't fully believe it 100% until he (she??) is born! Have fun at your scan!

Good luck, OP! We had ours yesterday and are having a little boy - such a special experience!

I’ve got to go back Tuesday! Little monkey was doing exactly what it did on my dating scan! Being a lazy terror with the cord right between its legs! She did get a glimpse and I thought I saw a willy at that point and then she said I’m 90% sure boy but the cord is there so I’d like you to come back!

@juicey09 yes I did! She confirmed boy :) I went back and I said to the lady I’ve broken all of the caffeine rules today! This baby will show us properly. She put the scan on my tummy and he was exactly the same! I said you have to be kidding me! But after couple of mins she got it! I’ll upload a pic but you will have to zoom! Xx
