Currently 13+3 and i have HG i was given Cyclazine 50mg at the hosptial about 2 weeks ago and ive only needed it a few times up until yesterday. I can't keep anything down every meal i manage to eat comes back up within 5mins i didn't even make it to the loo this morning it was that sudden and violent. Going to book in with GP on Monday and midwife is aware but is there anything i can do in the meantime ? I have work in the morning till 5pm and im dreading it and calling in sick isn't an option either Sad

Oh bless you, ermm, not really for vomiting. There is certainly much stronger anti-sickness the doctor can give you but in the meantime not much.. you could try 111 & see if you can get to out of hours?

If you are really poorly with HG, sometimes you just can’t work. People are signed off work for weeks with it. If you can’t keep anything down over 48 hours, get yourself to A&E.

I have HG. I’m 13+6 and I had cyclizine and stemetil but they didn’t do anything. I ended up at maternity unit and they gave me ondansetron and it seems to have settled things. Ask if they can give you this.
It’s genuinely the most awful feeling in the world. Good luck.

Currently 14+2 haven't eaten a meal and kept it down since Sunday Sad Dr has signed me off work sick for a week and given me promethazine to try instead but she said if it doesn't work by tomorrow evening im going to have to be re-admitted to maternity ward. Anyone had any luck with the promethazine ? So fed up of been ill and drained

None of the sickness meds worked for me bar ondansetron.

Promethazene worked for me. Didn't stop the constant nausea but did stop the constant vomiting. It's awful, I have every sympathy xx

I can handle nausea and heartburn if it means i can eat something and get some nutrients to baby im fretting they're going to start suffering soon i was having really bad cramps the other day and its like them saying they're in distress Sad
