I’m 29 weeks and wondering when I should think about packing my hospital bag? Any recommendations of what to include?

Pack now if you want. No harm in packing early. I took comfy PJs,fluffy socks, slippers, a baggy top for labour, deodorant, hair brush, tooth brush and paste and makeup wipes. Extra pillow and blanket and some puzzle books. Oh and phone charger! I was only in hospital one night and that seem to do me fine. Pads too although the hospital usually give you some x

I think we did it at 35 weeks but no harm in doing it earlier. Search for 'channel mum hospital bag must haves' on YouTube for some good tips.

3 things I'd recommend:

Sportscap bottle of lucazade. Drink during labour and keep the bottle. Once baby is born rinse bottle and it can be used to pour luke warm water over your bits as you wee (weeing postpartum stings / hurts a bit and this tip really helped me for the first 10 days).

Olive oil. Apply to baby's bum ASAP and the first poo will wipe off very easily (not always possible to do this I understand!)

Get your birth partner to actually do the packing. He or she will be able to pass you whatever you need during labour without having to rummage desperately through the bag that way!

Good luck op Smile

I packed mine at 31 weeks!

Also pack snacks. Hospital food doesn't have a good reputation

I packed around 30 something weeks. I took:

Pads
Towel
Shower Gel
Toothbrush/Toothpaste
Phone Charger
Magazines
Make Up Wipes
Deodorant
Hairbrush

Baby:
Hats
Soft Toy
Blanket
Dummy
Baby-grows
Ready to use milk (you will need this if FF feeding).
Scratch mitts (although a lot of his baby-grows had built in scratch mitts.
Socks

Think I covered most of it 😂
