Hi Everyone!

Im almost 15 weeks pregnant and early this morning at 1.30am I got woken up with horrific cramps. I went to the toilet thinking I maybe needed to go but didn't. They went after about 2 mins and each cramp lasted about 5 seconds.

Is this normal or anyone else experience this?

Thanks in advance xx

No I didn’t and that sounds quite extreme

So blood at all?

mummared · 27/07/2019 18:58

Nope no blood. If it happens again I'm going to ring my midwife or tell her at my next appointment x

I had this at about 15 weeks now 18. I had cramps on and off for a few days and ended up going to the MAC and everything was fine, they said it's quite common and they could reoccur throughout my pregnancy but there mainly due to your body stretching. Have had a few episodes of mild cramps since but nothing as bad as I did before.

Ahh that's reassured me, when I woke up with the cramping I panicked abit as I had a miscarriage earlier on this year so just assumed the worst 🙈 even though people tell me I'm over the "safe" zone I still worry and panic with any pain or twitch. Xx

In my first pregnancy I had this - really bad cramps that only lasted a second or two when I went to the loo. I only had them in the first trimester and then they stopped and everything was fine. I've not had them in my second pregnancy at all so I don't really know what they were all about.
