Evening ladies - Is anyone else struggling with tiredness /stamina issues beyond 12 wks? I was hoping to be feeling lovely by now, but I'm finding that if I have to do anything in the evening after a day's work, I'm absolutely exhausted - especially tired legs! I just walked mile to the train station after a brief work do, and am now having to get the bus home from the station at the the end as I'm just so tired. Do you think this will abate, or am I stuck like this (and worse) until January?

I hear you!

I was wiped out until 10 weeks, struggling to stay awake in the afternoons.

Im 17 weeks now, and sooooo much better but I still need a lie-down when I come in from work.

You are only just out of the first trimester - I found it more of a gradual picking up of energy so hopefully you might start to feel that. But you might not, and equally, you will still get more tired because of all that growing of another organ and whole human being etc Grin. God I wish I had rested more when I look back. You could always ask your midwife about iron levels too, as it’s common to get anaemia in pregnancy which doesn’t help

I'm 15 weeks and absolutely exhausted.

I thought I got away lucky, no sickness or nausea, no symptoms at all other than sore boo s and a little tired.

Now I have raging insomnia, waking up at 2 am after a couple hours sleep, then not sleeping again until 6, alarm goes off at 7.

I get home from work at 6pm, I just come straight to bed, my diet has hone to rubbish (usually healthy eater) but now its quick meals and chip shop because I physically dont have the energy to stay downstairs for very long.

Even when I come up to bed at 6/7pm I'm exhausted but cant actually fall asleep. Its horrendous and getting me down but I'm hoping it will ease off .

I'm 22 weeks an my tiredness hasn't got any better I'm constantly tired and could sleep at any given chance but 2 other children to look after doesn't happen haha but I've just been signed off work with spd so that helps a little with not all the walking around as I do home care x

I am 13 weeks & not getting too tired (despite insomnia/ waking up twice a night to go to the loo Hmm) but stamina in general is lacking. I find it more noticeable at the weekends when I try & maintain my pre-pregnancy lifestyle of busy activity-packed weekends. I need a nap by 3pm Saturdays and Sundays. I am getting out of breath more quickly too when hurrying around...

Everyone is different and like a pp said, the energy comes back slowly in the second trimester, it’s not an overnight change. Diet might not be helping, are you eating well enough?

Take care xx
