I had a membrane sweep yesterday lunch at 40+3. I had some discomfort and mild pain straight after but this wore off after an hour or two. Since then I’ve had quite a lot of cramping pains but nothing too different than the Braxton Hicks i was experiencing before.
I’ve just read over my notes and noticed the midwife wrote down ‘bulging membranes’ (which wasn’t mentioned to me) as well as being 1cm dilated which I already knew...
Can anyone shed any light on the ‘bulging membranes’ or offer me any words of wisdom to stop me pulling my hair out in this heat? 😂
What was your experience with a sweep?
