Bras in early pregnancy?

What type of bra do you wear for early pregnancy?

I'm only 6 weeks but struggling with constantly very sore boobs. Went out to look for some comfortable bras today and couldn't find anything - the only one which was actually comfortable was an actual nursing bra.

I don't see the point in buying a nursing bra this early - as I'm sure my size is going to change again.

Any advice on types of bras / where to look would be most helpful. Thanks!

I couldn’t stand underwire from about 4+5I’ve bought a 2 pack of maternity bras in the size I was at 4+5 which had some room in them and was a bigger band. So much comfier as no wire and very supportive. I will wear these until I can’t and then I’ll get another 2 pack in the next appropriate size.

I have found that a stretchy crop top style bra from Asda is comfy and wear it to bed (which has helped with soreness) but not enough support for in the day.

I have a bigger bust (currently an E) so cheap options aren’t really an option for me!

My friend just got Asda normal cheapies in the next size up for the first few months and sized up when she needed - but she was much smaller in the chest.

I've got some nursing bras from Amazon. Just cheap ones so it doesn't matter if I need a larger size in a few months but they are nice and soft and definitely worth it. The ones I bought just come as S, M and L so there's some room for growth anyway.

Thanks ladies. All very helpful! Thinking of checking somewhere like Sainsbury's too. Can't stand mine any longer!

I randomly found myself in Peacocks one weekend and the sore boob thing was very much on my mind so I had a look and they actually have a good (cost effective) range

Oops posted too early!

I ended up buy this one (www.peacocks.co.uk/lds-seamfree-thin-strap-8488ef.html) in white, black & grey to see and then went back and got some more, great for work and whilst I won't use them the whole pregnancy they are super comfy for now! :)

I was the same, didn't want to waste the money as I knew I'd outgrow them.

I've been wearing comfort bra's from asda. Inexpensive, very comfortable, no wiring. There's loads of option on their website.

Thanks @MummyBear405 and @Everafter1 - I'll check out both Asda and Peacocks - the range at Peacocks looks great and I wouldn't have thought to try there.

I buy these from Uniqlo. They have no underwire, but are SO comfortable and flattering.
Well worth checking them out.

@hopefulowl me neither! My mum suggested it and I kind of made a face (yes I was being a bit of a high street snob!) but then I had to eat my words! Also found some nice boxers for DH Smile

I dont normally shop In Primark but I brought a pack of 3 bra tops from there for £10, they are so comfy (black/white/grey) they have adjustable straps and hopefully should see me to the end of my pregnancy

I love the Sloggi zero feel bralettes (bralette rather than the tank top, it has much more support). Only problem is when you wash them in a machine the pads tend to move so you have to faff about getting them in the right position. Worth it though, they’re so comfy.
